Levante, Galatasaray interested in Çetin

John Solano

Despite having made only a handful of appearances this season, Roma central defender Mert Çetin continues to draw interest throughout Europe.

The young defender, according to Tuttomercatoweb, has caught the interest of not only clubs in Italy but also Spanish side Levante as well as Galatasaray.

At the moment, Roma are not open to selling the defender on a permanent deal. They are, however, open to the idea of allowing him to leave on loan.

Roma boss Paulo Fonseca blocked a potential January exit for Çetin because he is a big fan of the player and wanted him to remain with the club. With Serie A recommencing in two weeks and matches being played every three days, the Turk could find himself with a much more important role in the team.
