Lille and Olympique de Marseille contact Steven Nzonzi

Steven Nzonzi is a name Roma have been wanting to get rid of since the summer of 2019, when he joined Turkish side Galatasaray on loan.

This time around, according to French journalist Santi Auna of FootMercato, the 32-year-old has been approached by two clubs from Ligue 1: Lille and Olympique de Marseille.

Olympique de Marseille went reportedly as far as having their manager, Jorge Sampaoli, directly contact the player.

However, the French giants would first have to sell one of their midfielders before bringing in Nzonzi.

Qatari side Al-Rayyan continue to monitor the French international.
