Following surgery to repair a dislocated shoulder, Roma’s Pau Lopez is awaiting developments regarding his club future.
The Spanish shot-stopper has experienced a turbulent two seasons in the Italian capital since he joined the club in 2019. His failure to provide consistent performances has led to Roma re-entering the market in search for a new goalkeeper.
Incoming manager José Mourinho wants to acquire an upgrade this summer in goal, with Rui Patricio and Pierluigi Gollini emerging as the most likely candidates.
As for Lopez, Corriere della Sera reports that the 26 year-old is drawing interest from both Spain and France. Reportedly, Granada and Lille have their eyes on the former Real Betis man.
The reigning French champions still need to replace Mike Maignan, who recently joined Milan. Granada, meanwhile, are also in need of a new first choice shot-stopper following Rui Silva’s departure for Real Betis on a free transfer.
