Roma are reportedly in the race for Lille defender Bafode Diakite who is said to be among the capital club’s main targets for the summer.

The Giallorossi are laying the foundations for a busy summer ahead that will involve the exits of several players.

Above all, Roma will want to focus on restructuring their wings with the likes of Leonardo Spinazzola, Rick Karsdorp and Rasmus Kristensen set to depart the club.

As a result, Roma have turned their attention to potential replacements.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Lille’s Bafode Diakite is the current favorite to land a move to the Italian capital.

The 23-year-old fullback is the first name on Roma’s list to replace Rick Karsdorp on the right flank in the team’s starting line-up.

Diakite’s pricetag is estimated at €15 million, the player can cover multiple positions in defense.
