Argentina head coach Lionel Scaloni went over his decision to exclude Paulo Dybala from the squad for Copa America.

After lifting the prized title on Sunday night, Scaloni discussed all that went into Argentina’s hard-fought victory.

“I don’t want to talk only about Messi,” Scaloni told reporters during his closing press conference. “It would be unfair to all those who were called up and also to those who weren’t called up with the good of the team in mind, like Paulo Dybala, a super-special player.”

“If I were only talking about Leo I would be making a mistake, because we love everyone in a special way and Paulo comes to mind as do other guys I haven’t called up.”

“Not bringing one of these guys is the worst decision that can happen to you, it breaks your heart, because we are very close to them and it’s a real problem for us as a coaching staff.”
