Loïc Badé is the new name on Roma’s summer shortlist.

The French defender is in fact being linked with the capital club ahead of the new season.

Returning a silver medalist at the Paris Olympics, Loïc Badé is unlikely to remain at Sevilla.

The Andalusian club have a need to sell to generate enough funds to reinvest in their own transfer targets, hence Badé’s placement on the team’s transfer block.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma are keen on Badé and have already lined him up as the replacement for Chris Smalling who is expected to leave the Giallorossi within the next weeks.

For the 24-year-old Frenchman it is only a matter of waiting for Smalling to depart the Italian capital.

The newspaper suggests Sevilla may accept a bid of 12 million euros plus bonuses.
