Lorenz Assignon is edging closer to a move to Roma.
The French player is currently the capital club’s priority as the Giallorossi look to secure the services of an additional right-back before kick-off to the new season.
In recent days, Roma accelerated talks with Rennes after reaching a general agreement with Assignon.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport, the player has already said ‘yes’ to Roma and favors the Giallorossi over any other destination.
Assignon has asked his agents to see to it that the deal between Roma and Rennes gets done.
As things stand, the Giallorossi are evaluating offer a loan with obligation to buy for 7-8 million euros based on certain performance-related conditions.
