Lorenz Assignon has made his wishes clear to his parent club, Stade Rennais.

The French right-back remains Roma’s top target for that position as Rick Karsdorp is expected to make way for his arrival.

Over recent days, Roma opened talks with Rennes for Assignon’s signing.

There is still distance between Roma’s offer and Rennes’ demands as the French club continue asking for a fee of 15 million euros.

However, the player’s willingness to move to the Italian capital could make the difference.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Assignon has made it clear to Rennes that his priority is to join Roma at all costs.

The feeling is that an agreement can be found within the next few days.
