Good news for Roma ahead of a crucial midweek fixture in the Coppa Italia against Simone Inzaghi’s Inter.
As reported by Angelo Mangiante of Sky Sport, Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini has completed his first group training session earlier today. The player recently recovered from an injury that had sidelined him over the past few weeks.
His status for Inter, however, remains unclear: the club’s medical staff do not want to risk him, thus it remains to be seen whether the captain will be given a chance to feature in the starting eleven or contribute off the bench as the game at the San Siro progresses.
Mourinho and his staff will assess the midfielder’s condition and make a decision before travelling to Milan.
