Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini defended his teammate Rui Patricio whose costly mistake led to Atalanta’s third goal of the night.
In his post-match interview with Sky Sport, Pellegrini commented on Patricio’s mistake. “He’s a champ and a fantastic lad. A mistake will not change what we think of him.”
“The episodes decided the game. Injuries weigh heavily but the strength of this group is to have each other’s back in difficult moments.”
“We have the duty to fight to the end,” he added.
