Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini is set to make his return from injury in tomorrow night’s return leg with Real Sociedad in Spain.
The midfielder spoke at the pre-match presser and discussed his physical issues which contributed to the numerous ups and downs in his campaign so far this year.
“For obvious reasons this season was also my fault, you can always do more despite some problems. When you step on the pitch you’re just like everybody else, and I don’t like hiding behind alibis.”
“I am not satisfied with this season, I can and must do more. The only thing I’m satisfied with is the commitment and having always been put myself on the line.”
“It is normal to have important responsibilities as captain of Roma. I have always said I am the first to admit that I arrive at this point of the season with different stats, but I have always given 120% for Roma and whatever the difficulty may be, I have always put my comrades in front of everyone. I am proud of the group and proud to be their captain. The season is not over, I hope to do better.”
