Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini was once again back on the scoresheet as the Giallorossi beat Monza 4-1.

In his post-match interview with DAZN, Pellegrini discussed the way Daniele De Rossi unlocked his best qualities, allowing him to return to his best form.

“It was a difficult match, with many pitfalls. We respect Monza, they are a team that likes to attack. We did what the coach asked of us and I would say that our journey is progressing well,” he said.

“Team cohesion? We also work every day in this aspect, which is fundamental. When you no longer have energy, you give your hand to your partner out of a spirit of sacrifice and because you love him. This is part of the growth path we are on. We need to be happy and continue like this.”

“De Rossi? I always expected that he would become a great coach. Then it’s one thing to think it and another thing to put it into practice. He amazes me a lot, the way he makes us work and the way he takes care of every detail. Then there is the field that speaks, things have to go well because you work hard and well.”

“At the moment the results are coming, we are happy but we are aware that we have not done anything yet. If this is the beginning, let’s also think about what Roma can be in perspective with this mentality.”
