Lorenzo Pellegrini discusses return to form after Feyenoord win

Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini analyzed his own performance in tonight’s victory over Feyenoord.

The Italian midfielder’s goal helped seal the Giallorossi’s comeback and allow them to advance to Europa League semi-finals.

In post-match interview with Sky Sport, Pellegrini shared a few words on the fans’ support and his own return to form following several months of ups and downs.

“When we got here we were greeted by something truly inexplicable. I hadn’t felt so overwhelmed by the Olimpico since Roma-Liverpool. They give everything for us and we give everything for them,” he said.

“The goal? It was important to me. I found lost happiness and I’m going to keep it as close as possible.”

“Our offensive struggles? We have always tried to do our best. The goals didn’t come but we also wasted a lot of chances, so it means we created opportunities to score. Now maybe we’ve even unlocked ourselves and this season finale is very important for us and our objectives.”
