Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini is at risk of missing the Giallorossi’s first match after the international break.
Pellegrini was recently forced to depart Italy’s training camp after a muscle injury which he had previously suffered prevented him from taking part in the upcoming international engagements.
As a result, the midfielder is back in the Italian capital, currently undergoing physiotherapy.
According to Il Messaggero, Pellegrini’s status for Roma-Empoli is questionable as Jose Mourinho may choose to not risk him any further.
