Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini discussed the team’s winning performance over Feyenoord in last night’s Olimpico showdown.
After the final whistle, Pellegrini – who celebrated with the Curva Sud in post-match festivities – spoke to Roma TV about the emotional evening.
“We are very happy, they are an excellent team, but they talked too much,” the Italian midfielder said of their opponent for the night. “They talked a lot about revenge, but today we showed that we wanted it more.”
“The credit goes to the group, the coach and the staff,” he added. “Once upon a time, Roma wouldn’t have come back after Feyenoord’s equalizer but things have changed: we never give up.”
