Lorenzo Pellegrini: “If we work hard, we will have fun.”

Andy Mattioli

Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini commented on his performance versus Monza which saw him return to the team’s scoresheet once more.

In his post-match interview with Roma TV, Pellegrini discussed the main takeaways from the match.

“I play football, and that’s what I like to do and that’s what I’m succeeding at. Then the goal, the assist, the performance are all consequences, so I’m happy with tonight. I think you have to be happy and have enthusiasm, but you have to continue to work hard, because I think that if we work hard, we can have fun.”

“I think that a great team like us, or in any case like us who work to be one, shouldn’t have these physical and mental drops, so we work to improve this, we work to push ourselves more and more, to improve ourselves more and more as an individual and as a collective, trying to get to our season objectives.”

“Brighton? It will be a difficult match on an emotional level, we have played a lot in recent years so we know what awaits us. They are an excellent team, who like to play, have the ball and we like it too. It will be a really good challenge to watch and from tomorrow we will start thinking about it, it will be a match that will be played in two games and this is also a very important aspect.”

“We continue to work harder and harder because there is so much to improve individually and collectively and I think it is necessary to do so for all our ambitions which are high and many.”
