Despite travelling to Italy’s training camp in Coverciano on Monday morning, Lorenzo Pellegrini will not be joining Roberto Mancini’s men in their upcoming engagements in the Nations League.
As reported by Filippo Biafora of Il Tempo, Pellegrini underwent a series of tests with Italy’s medical staff which confirmed an injury to the flexor muscle.
Therefore, the player is scheduled to make his return to the Italian capital in the coming hours where he will continue his recovery in order to be at Jose Mourinho’s disposal for the big match at the San Siro with Inter on October 1st.
