Lorenzo Pellegrini returns from international duty for precautionary reasons

Roma’s captain, Lorenzo Pellegrini, will not feature in Italy’s last match against Lithuania on Wednesday night.

According to Sky Sport, the midfielder made his return to the Italian capital earlier today, like fellow Giallorossi player Gianluca Mancini did a few days ago, for precautionary reasons.

Pellegrini is reportedly not feeling 100% fit physically and Roma do not want to risk him any further.

The Roman club want to use the second half of the week to rest their captain before the Serie A clash against Sassuolo on Sunday.
