Lorenzo Pellegrini ruled out of Italy training ahead of North Macedonia match

Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini has struggled in this new season’s opening.

After serving his suspension in the first matchday, Pellegrini delivered two underwhelming performances with Hellas and Milan before joining Luciano Spalletti’s Italy squad in Coverciano.

According to Sky Sport, Pellegrini is not 100% and was recently ruled out for Italy’s last training session before today’s game with North Macedonia.

The midfielder had already reported a minor injury to his flexor muscle over a week ago but played through it as he was called upon to replace injured Houssem Aouar versus Milan.
