Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini will soon step on the pitch to represent Italy in their first match of the EURO’s.
The Giallorossi skipper gets the start in tonight’s line-up versus Albania in Italy’s first game of the group stage.
In an interview with UEFA.com released minutes prior to kick-off, Pellegrini discussed the importance of his presence at this tournament.
“We’re here, we’re ready, we’re working, we can improve even more. We are ready to show what we’re capable of,” said Pellegrini.
“i am very excited to be here. I had to skip the last European Championship at the last minute due to injury. I couldn’t wait to be here, now we’re here, we’re excited, we want to dominate the game and bring home the three points.”
“We need to dominate and win the match, this is what we have prepared,” he added.
