Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini is away on international duty with Luciano Spalletti’s squad.
Along with Gianluca Mancini, Pellegrini was the only other Roma player to be called up for the upcoming friendlies with Venezuela and Ecuador.
In an interview with Tg2, Pellegrini commented on the mood within Italy’s dressing room.
“I see in this national team a lot of compactness and happiness to be here and we will prepare as best as possible, and give our all for the team,” he said.
“We’ll see if it’s enough in June for the EUROs, but certainly none of us will ever leave the pitch without having given everything out there.”
