Lorenzo Pellegrini to make first start in two months versus Udinese

Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini has completed his recovery from a recent muscular injury.

The Italian midfielder missed over a month of action due to a recurring calf issue which forced him to undergo a lengthy and intense recovery process based on Jose Mourinho’s instructions: the Special One did not wish to risk Pellegrini any further, prioritizing his complete recovery instead.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Pellegrini will make his first start against Udinese after the international break, almost two months since going down injured in the match with Servette at Stadio Olimpico.

The Giallorossi are in need of a creative spark in the midfield and Mourinho hopes Pellegrini will be able to partly contribute to a solution.
