Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini is unlikely to feature in tomorrow night’s league fixture with Lecce. The midfielder is yet to recover from a muscle tweak suffered in the second half of Inter-Roma.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport, Mourinho is unwilling to risk him from the start and is therefore likely to keep Pellegrini on the bench with the hope of having back at full disposal on Thursday when Roma are set to face Real Betis in the return leg of their Europa League group stage.
In the meantime, tonight Chris Smalling could be rested with Marash Kumbulla ready to replace him in the starting eleven.
Andrea Belotti is also listed a concrete possibility to start with Zaniolo and Dybala supporting him on the flanks. It remains to be seen whether Mady Camara will get his first opportunity to start on Sunday night.
