Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini will most likely start once more against Thiago Motta’s Spezia, reports Corriere dello Sport.
The midfielder, who recently recovered from an injury he sustained over a month ago, already started vs his former side Sassuolo and Hellas-Verona over the weekend.
The newspaper claims that Pellegrini has complained about muscle fatigue after playing two consecutive matches in their entirety.
The initial plan was for Mourinho to rely on him for 60-70 minutes in both games. However, Roma’s inconsistent form forced the Special One to field Pellegrini for the full ’90.
Tomorrow evening the captain is expected to start alongside Mkhitaryan and play behind Tammy Abraham.
