Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini is also doubtful for Wednesday’s Derby della Capitale with Lazio.

With only one way to go to the Coppa Italia showdown between the two city rivals, the Giallorossi skipper is said to be dealing with back pain as a direct result of a foul by Atalanta defender Giorgio Scalvini.

The aforementioned clash of play, which according to the referee Aureliano did not require a card, had left the Roma captain in pain on the ground for a few minutes, with Jose Mourinho conspicuously requesting a yellow card for the Dea defender.

According to ForzaRoma.info, Pellegrini will undergo a series of tests and scans to assess the extent of the injury ahead of tomorrow night’s Derby.
