Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini sounded ecstatic and relieved about the Giallorossi’s winning result with Leicester City earlier tonight.
“The work of our coach is under the eyes of everyone,” he told Sky Sport when asked about Mourinho’s impact on the group. “Beyond the individuals, I think that collectively we’re more of a team now.”
“This is what we like. I think we’ve grown a lot. On the pitch I get the sense that we’re a real team.”
“First of all, it’s a wonderful evening,” he continued. “It allows me to play a final that I’ve never had the opportunity to play. I played 3 semi-finals.”
“I’m really very happy that the story has changed a little compared to the other years and that this time we’re going to the final.”
“As for me, the next day, I always think I’m doing better than I did the day before, so this helps me to always stay on track and give everything for Roma.”
