Luca Pellegrini does a u-turn: ready to accept Cagliari loan, Roma pondering Vida

After having rejected an initial proposal, Roma left back Luca Pellgrini, according to Il Tempo, is close to accepting a loan to the Sardegna-based side. Roma sporting director Monchi has already given his OK to the transfer, but now the final decision is up to Pellegrini, who has also received proposals from Chievo and SPAL in recent days. If Pellegrini were to depart, Roma would be ready to insert a new piece into the defence, but in a different role — they feel they’re covered at left back with Kolarov and Santon. The reinforcement would likely come in the form of a central defender and Monchi is now evaluating whether or not to bid for Besiktas’ Vida, which would be a low-cost operation.
