Former Roma and Italy striker Luca Toni weighed in on Daniele De Rossi’s tenure as Roma’s head coach.

Toni was interviewed by TuttoMercatoWeb at the EA7 World Legends Padel Tour.

“It’s a shame for how Roma’s journey in the Europa League came to an end but Daniele’s project is wide-ranging and well underway. It takes time to make a good project.”

“Lukaku? Beyond the goals I think he helped the team a lot. He certainly gives the team an advantage.”

“De Rossi? He arrived at Roma and gave them a clear idea of how to play his brand of football. I don’t think it was easy for him to do so in such a brief amount of time. I think he’s done well. It’s nice to see old teammates of mine do well as head coaches,” added Toni.
