Fiorentina forward Lucas Beltran revealed how last summer he was approached, among others, by Roma.

The ex-River Plate striker was in fact linked with a move to Roma. However, the player ultimately decided to switch to Fiorentina instead.

In a recent interview with Eurosport, the Argentine revealed what went on behind his decision to favor the Viola over any other destination.

“Roma, Fiorentina and Real Madrid contacted me,” said Beltran. “I chose Florence because I felt this was the best place for me.”

“One day I woke up and told my brother “I want to go to Fiorentina”. It was the club that showed the most interest in me, they really wanted me. And then I liked the city, the sports center, Viola Park, how the people live.”

“It’s beautiful, so I’m very happy here. I think I made a good decision,” he added.
