Out-of-favor Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira is looking for a new team after Fiorentina failed to reach an agreement with the Gunners to make Torreira’s transfer permanent following his one-year loan.
The Uruguayan player addressed his future in a recent interview with Punto Penal, expressing his willingness to move away from the Premier League.
In the same interview, Torreira went as far as admitting to holding talks with Jose Mourinho and hinting at the capital club’s interest in him.
“Roma is a possibility for me,” said the ex-Sampdoria man. “I spoke with Mourinho a while ago, he’s a coach I admire a lot.”
“It’s an opportunity that appeals to me very much,” he added. “But it’s not easy.”
