Napoli manager Luciano Spalletti commented on Mourinho’s claim that his side proved better despite the defeat the Maradona Stadium a week ago.
“Mourinho said that? Sometimes managers say things in order to improve the team’s spirit,” Spalletti told reporters in his pre-match press conference ahead of Spezia-Napoli. “Sometimes we say things to improve how our players perform in the next match.”
“In my opinion our win against Roma was hard fought and fully deserved,” concluded the Italian technician.
