Napoli boss Luciano Spalletti – formerly a two time manager of the Giallorossi between 2005-2009 and 2016-17 – spoke about the Partenopei’s brilliant form to start the new season in an interview with Sky Sport.
The Italian technician addressed the similarities between Napoli’s playing style to his Roma team from the mid 2000s.
“I have been very lucky in my career,” Spalletti said. “I always had technical and fast players at my disposal and that helped us move the ball faster. My teams always seemed to have fun.”
“I think back to my Roma team: we played exceptional football and would impress everyone in the Champions League.”
