Edoardo Bove’s steady growth and development under Jose Mourinho have not gone unnoticed by Italy boss Luciano Spalletti.

The former Roma technician is said to have been monitoring Bove as a long-term solution for Italy’s senior team.

In the coming months, Bove could finally make the necessary leap from Italy’s U21 squad to Spalletti’s team.

According to Il Messaggero, Spalletti is tempted to call up Bove for Italy’s upcoming training camp as a temporary replacement of Sandro Tonali who has been banned for 10 months due to his involvement in the latest betting scandal.
