Former Roma and Inter Milan manager Luciano Spalletti will be in the stands for tonight’s showdown between his two former clubs.

As revealed by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Spalletti has began making the rounds of training centres all over Italy ahead of EURO 2024.

The newspaper reports that his first stop will be Daniele De Rossi’s Roma – Spalletti is said to have already contacted De Rossi in order to congratulate him on his major coaching job and announce his imminent arrival to Roma’s training facilities.

Spalletti will monitor the likes of Lorenzo Pellegrini, Bryan Cristante and Gianluca Mancini – the favorites to be called up for the EURO – as well as evaluate Stephan El Shaarawy and Edoardo Bove who could be promoted from Italy’s U21 squad given his formidable season with Roma so far.
