Luciano Spalletti: “We must congratulate Roma on their brand of football.”

Former Roma manager Luciano Spalletti mentioned the Giallorossi’s model along the same lines of Bologna and Atalanta for the kind of football these teams express.

The current Italy head coach was asked to share his opinion on the 23/24 season in Serie A during the presentation for the Cesarini Awards.

“We saw many things done well in Italy this year. We must congratulate Bologna, Atalanta, Roma who played important football and expressed a good brand of football.”

“Inter deservedly won the league. I’m sorry for Frosinone’s relegation because they had worked very well throughout the year. Sometimes football penalizes you,” said the ex-Giallorossi boss.

“The national team is the highest point of my career, coaching the national team is like living in paradise: I’m not in Coverciano, I’m in paradise. I will try to give the best of myself.”

“I don’t know if it will be enough but some points must be made clear immediately. We have strong players available, we need to make them become a team and if we succeed I am convinced that we will be able to play on equal terms with teams that are currently superior. We have this period to work together and we have our history to refer to.”
