Roma Primavera midfielder Luigi Cherubini concluded his spell as a member of the Giallorossi’s youth team.
After failing to win the Primavera Scudetto versus Sassuolo, Cherubini was among the players to part ways with the Primavera squad given the expiry of his contract as a youth player.
With his contract set to expire in a few days, Cherubini posted an emotional message on Instagram.
“It’s been a long journey… We rejoiced in our successes but also cried for evenings like the other day.”
“It’s part of football and life, as much as it may hurt you always have the strength to get up.”
“I shared everyday life with men before they were footballers and this makes me very proud of each of you.”
“I thank all the staff and the people who contributed to this fantastic year of ours and I wish you a life full of joys and satisfactions.”
He concluded, “My journey in the youth sector ends here with a bitterness in my mouth, but with 11 years of great emotions. Thank you all, you will remain forever in my heart.”
