Roma have been engaged in talks with Atalanta over several players including the Giallorossi’s Stephan El Shaarawy and Carles Pérez, as well as Atalanta’s Mario Pašalić, Aleksei Miranchuk and Luis Muriel.
Muriel in particular represents a low-cost deal for the capital club who want to strengthen their attack in this transfer window.
The Columbian striker is among the names Roma are considering as a valuable back-up to Tammy Abraham, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport.
At the moment, Atalanta are asking for a fee of €15 million for the 31-year-old veteran, but the price-tag could go down and eventually meet Roma’s capabilities.
