Romelu Lukaku is likely to be targeted by Inter fans as Roma face his former team in tonight’s Serie A fixture.

The Belgian striker will make his return to San Siro for the first time since his controversial decision to withdraw from talks with Inter over a long-term transfer at the end of last season.

75,000 fans are expected to be in attendance tonight with the aim of harassing Lukaku at every touch of the ball.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma are fully aware of the hostile setting San Siro will pose as tonight. In fact, Mourinho and his staff held numerous conversations with Lukaku leading up to tonight’s match.

The club wanted to assess to what extent the player may be experiencing the pressure that been building up over the last few weeks.

The newspaper reports that Lukaku repeatedly answered Mourinho’s questions by stating, “It’s OK. I’m not afraid.”
