Romelu Lukaku’s physical trainer, Lieven Maesschalck discussed the striker’s condition.
In an interview with Het Laatste Nieuws, Maesschalck was asked about the Roma attacker’s latest injury and his condition for the upcoming engagements with Belgium and the Giallorossi.
“In recent weeks, Romelu has been suffering from a groin injury. He had already limited his training and missed a game because of it,” said Maesschalck.
“But apparently, the problem hasn’t gone away. Now he comes to us for rehabilitation and stability work. We are evaluating whether he will be able to return to the national team.”
“He should be able to play against England and, with the Euros approaching, his injury isn’t really an issue. Roma demand a lot from him but he can physically tolerate it.”
