It took the FIGC almost three weeks to hand down their punishement for Senad Lulic after the Bosnian’s racist statements towards Antonio Rüdiger, and it appears the the midfielder is being left-off quite lightly.
The Federal Prosecutor’s Office announced that it has banned Senad Lulic for 20 days following his racist statements after Roma’s 2-0 Derby win on 4 December.
The Bosnian will miss only one match for his words after, suspiciously yet unsurprisingly, after the Federation conveniently decided to hand down the punishment during the holiday break, as their statement read:
“Lazio Senad Lulic was sanctioned with a suspension of 20 days and a fine of 10 thousand euro for harmful and offensive statements against Roma player Antonio Rudiger which were released after the Lazio-Roma match on 4 December 4.”
