Gianluca Di Marzio has released an update regarding Roma’s pursuit of Riyad Mahrez.
The Giallorossi, reportedly, made a third official big for the player worth €35 million, but Leicester never responded to the offer, which is all but an official refusal. Now, the player’s agent is trying to mediate between the two sides, asking Roma to raise their offer a little by adding various bonuses, which will help get the deal done. But Roma need a prompt response in order to find a substitute should the deal not be completed. Reportedly, Monchi wants an answer by midnight of Ferragosto on August 15th. Leicester have been holding out for £40 million to sell Mahrez abroad, and £50 million to sell him to another Premier League side, but Roma is hoping they will lower the demands by the 15th, or else they will move on.
