January signing Ainsley Maitland-Niles – who arrived in the Italian capital on a dry loan – will return to England once the current campaign comes to an end, reports English sports outlet Mirror.
After only 9 appearances across all competitions with the Giallorossi, Maitland-Niles’ future is likely to unravel in the Premier League.
Despite not having as prominent of a role as he’d hoped to have under Jose Mourinho, the player is reportedly enjoying his experience in Italy.
However, Roma do not intend on engaging in any discussions related to a potential permanent switch in the summer for the English wing-back.
Upon the expiry of his loan, Maitland-Niles will return to London and evaluate several offers from the Premier League.
