One of Roma’s priorities for January is an additional right-back. The main name linked with the Italian capital for the past couple of months was Diogo Dalot’s of Manchester United.

GM Tiago Pinto was reportedly in contact with Man United, pushing for a loan signing of the Portuguese international.

However, Sky Sport reports that a deal involving Dalot is now off the table.

With new manager in charge Ralf Rangnick, the Red Devils have now labelled Dalot as not for sale. The full-back, who had been excluded by previous United coach Solskjaer, is now considered unmovable.

The Giallorossi will thus have to continue their search for a reliable back-up to Rick Karsdorp.
