The Rome derby is approaching, and it will be crucial, especially for Gian Piero Gasperini’s Roma, who are fighting for a place in the top four in next season’s Champions League.
Interviewed by Sky Sport on the sidelines of the event that saw the presentation of the documentary on Aldair, Gianluca Mancini spoke about the derby that could decide the Champions League race: “We have an important match awaiting us on Sunday or Monday, but we’re focusing on ourselves. We know we must make few mistakes and train well, as we are doing.”
Regarding Aldair, he said: “They told me about him. I was young, but I know he was a phenomenon. Then I met him, and he’s also a great person.”
The Giallorossi defender will be the only one at risk of being suspended for a booking on Gasperini’s team and must avoid the penalty or risk ending his season with a matchday to spare and missing the 38th matchday in Verona.
