Before facing Napoli at the Maradona Stadium on Monday night, José Mourinho spent a few hours honouring the memory of local legend Diego Armando Maradona.
The Portuguese technician paid his respects at the Quartieri Spagnoli, bringing flowers to Maradona’s murales.
Diego Armando Maradona Jr. thanked the Special One with a special post on Instagram:
“We hugged and got excited remembering Dad.”
“José, you are true and loyal friend of Diego the man and then of Maradona the player, friend for better or for worse!”
“I love you as much as you loved Dad.”
