Marash Kumbulla in talks to join Sassuolo on dry loan

Roma defender Marash Kumbulla is expected to join Sassuolo before the transfer deadline.

The side from Reggio Emilia are said to be nearing an agreement with Roma for the loan of the Albanian centreback who will join Alessio Dionisi’s ranks until the end of the season.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport, the deal could be completed within the next few hours with Kumbulla ready to travel to Sassuolo on Thursday morning.

Negotiations are proceeding on a rapid pace with the intent of finding an agreement on the basis of a dry loan.

The player is need of minutes after recovering from a serious ACL injury and is eager to move elsewhere in search of more playing time.

Kumbulla’s entourage and Roma are working to finalize a successful deal with Sassuolo.
