Despite being sidelined with an ACL injury, Albanian defender Marash Kumbulla hasn’t held back in professing his love for Roma.
The centreback – who is expected to return to the pitch early next year – spoke to Savoir Sport about his most memorable moments as a Roma player since joining the club in 2020.
“I love it here. The city is beautiful,” he said. “I’ve been living here for three years now, it’s like my second home.”
“I especially love the fans,” Kumbulla added. “I think in the derby last year or the match against Bodo (second leg of the Conference League quarter-final won 4-0) two years ago showed how special our fans are. In those games I experienced an unprecedented atmosphere, there were all the fans singing and they had a chip on their shoulder that I had never seen before. It was truly incredible.”
