Marash Kumbulla made his return to Roma’s starting eleven in last night’s win over Genoa. The Albanian defender provided solid coverage along with his teammates, Roger Ibanez and Gianluca Mancini.
After the game, Kumbulla spoke to Roma TV and discussed the Giallorossi’s ambitions for the remainder of the season.
“We are very happy because we made it through to the next round. It wasn’t easy, look at what happened to Milan and how a team like Inter struggled,” he said.
“We had several chances, but we weren’t able to finish them. Thanks to Paulo [Dybala] we were able to unlock the match and advance to the next round.”
“I also that the team is very cohesive, you can see it on the pitch. We are happy about the result, but we are already thinking about Sunday.”
“I’m happy to have played 90 minutes. This year we started well, now we just need to stick together and continue on this path.”
