Roma defender Marash Kumbulla is still recovering from a long-term knee injury.
The Albanian centreback was hurt in one of the final games of last season and his return to the pitch is yet to be determined.
According to his agent, Gianni Vitali, the player is entirely focused on returning to Jose Mourinho’s disposal as soon as possible and is very keen on continuing to play for Roma despite rumors of a potential exit prior to his injury.
“He has great desire, his recovery is progressing very well,” Vitali said of Kumbulla in an interview with Tuttomercatoweb. “Roma’s medical staff is of a high level and his desire to return is certainly great. He feels better with each passing and it helps a lot with his morale too.”
“There were some tough days, but we are confident that we will see him back on the pitch as soon as possible, always respecting the necessary deadlines.”
