Roma look to secure a new right-back within the next weeks.

After the exit of Rasmus Kristensen and Rick Karsdorp’s exclusion from the team’s project, Roma are hoping to add at least another right-back to Daniele De Rossi’s orders.

The Italian manager awaits Marc Pubill who is now the leading candidate for the job.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Spanish full-back is a concrete target for the Giallorossi.

The friendship with Turki Al-Sheikh, the president of Almeria who closed the agreement for Roma’s main sponsor, Riyadh Season, a year ago, could come in handy and facilitate a deal for the Spaniard.

Pubill is valued at 18-20 million euros and Almeria coach Rubi considers him one of the irreplaceable members of his roster.

The player’s opinion will be decisive as Pubill is expected to decide on his own future after the Paris Olympics.
